OPAL GoOnLine

GoOnLine is a drop-in service run by OPAL Services which helps older people and carers in rural areas learn how to access the internet with the one-to-one support of volunteers. The service aims to foster use of the internet to pursue peoples' personal interests.

If you are having problems or lack confidence in using your smart phone, laptop or tablet, or if you need help in making video, conference calls, uploading photos or other IT issues, then we can help. Our friendly GoOnLine service is available to anyone in west Cheshire who is over the age of 60.

For further information please email fiona.barry@opalservices.org.uk or bev.stubbs@opalservices.org.uk or call 07923 425239 (Fiona) or 07549173185 (Beverley).

Sessions run onthe 4th Wed of the month, 1pm to 2.30pm, at St Philips Church, Kelsall

OPAL GoOnLine @Home

OPAL GoOnLine @Home (previously in Touch) is a new service being offered across the rural areas of West Cheshire to older individuals who have limited experience or no experience of using technology to stay in touch with family, friends and their communities.

Our experienced OPAL GoOnLine volunteers will support and mentor individuals to demonstrate the positive aspects of using technology.

Android tablets, which will be Sim activated and set up in accordance with each individual's needs, will be loaned for a period of time so that the person can experience the positive aspects of being connected to on-line opportunities.

To find out more or to get involved with this service please email bev.stubbs@opalservices.org.uk
