Handy Jigsaws

Handy Jigsaws is Kelsall's FREE jigsaw library. The service was established early in 2020 after consultation with the Kelsall Medical Centre Patient Participation Group. We offer a regularly changing collection of up to 100 titles from popular brands including Gibsons, Ravensburger, Falcon & Wasgij. The service includes free doorstep delivery and collection in Kelsall.

Numerous studies have shown that jigsaws can benefit our mental wellbeing in a number of ways and we wanted to share these benefits with the local community.

• Jigsaws are also a perfect solo activity and provide a sense of achievement
• Jigsaws improve problem-solving skills, attention span and short-term memory
• Jigsaws relieve stress by lowering blood pressure and heart rate
• Jigsaws can provide comfort and contentment to lonely or isolated people
• Jigsaws can alleviate mental health conditions, including dementia
